Bullin persisted in denying that he mentioned any specifio day

It appears to be must improbable that Fr. Xavier and Mr. Butelho
should have got special leave to be absent from their employment

Bullin donios, was invented. Mr. and Mrs. Xavier and Mr. Botelho
are agreed that Mrs. Xavier did ask Fr. Pullin on the Friday for
the sweets, the object of the question being that they might
satisfy themselves as to the identity of the Inspector, as its.
